WLR-9 goes off for the 100th time.
Sonar, Con...report the cause of the WLR-9 alarm.
Con,Sonar...the cause of the WLR-9 alarm is
pachydermos belukha munching out on decapod
crustaceans.(voice obviously stressing and anxious)
Sonar,Con...Supervisor to the Con!
The very alert Topside Watch (an MM3) passed the word on the 1MC, "Key
Departing" immediately followed by "Man Overboard - Starboard Side". The
captain swam aft and crawled onto the turtleback at the engineroom.
Once the CO was back onboard, the Topside Watch announced on the 1MC, "Key
Arriving" immediately followed by, "Secure from Man Overboard".
Needless to say neither the CO or XO were amused. The topside watch was in trouble
with the XO, because the XO thought the Topside Watch was making fun of the situation.
After a short time the CO came to the MM3's rescue because the MM3 did everything he
was supposed to do even though it was somewhat embarrassing to the CO.

The dial-ex at the BCP wouldn't stop ringing with shipmates giving their
congratulations by a resounding "Baaaaa"! He never lived that one down.
